RSS Information

What is RSS?

RSS is a way for websites to share information with other websites. This information could include headlines (updated regularly), articles or any other timely information. It is just like customizing your yahoo, msn, or aol homepage. All you do is put up the link and it is automatically updated by the source. RSS can also be used to broadcast headlines from a website to your desktop using an aggregator.

About our RSS feeds:

Much of the information maintained by the Office of Secretary of State is constantly updated. For citizens to get new information, they need to visit different webpages regularly. By making this data available over RSS, you can now get all this information placed at your fingertips.

Example Usage of Syndicated Feeds:

  • state agencies can now list their regulations on their home page via an RSS feed
  • media outlets can subscribe to and republish the latest bills and elections information via RSS feeds
  • the business community can subscribe to RSS feeds from our corporations database as well as news and events from the fast start office.
